Abstract
The invention comprises compounds of the formula <FORM:1034613/C2/1> where R1 is H or alkyl and R2 is alkyl but excluding compounds where R1 is H and R2 either methyl or ethyl and where R1 is methyl and R2 ethyl, and the preparation of all the above compounds by reacting an amino-antipyrine with an alkyl chlorocarbonate in an inert solvent, preferably in presence of an alkali metal carbonate.ALSO:Pharmaceutical compositions containing compounds of formula <FORM:1034613/A5-A6/1> where R1 is H or alkyl, and R2 is alkyl, together with pharmaceutically acceptable carriers, have antiphlogistic, analgesic, and antipyretic activity and may be administered orally or subcutaneously.
