Abstract

1,034,232. Transistor switching circuit. MINISTER OF AVIATION. Feb. 8, 1965 [Feb. 27, 1964], No. 8217/64. Heading H3T. An electronic switch circuit comprises at least three transistors T1, T2, T3 connected with their emitter-collector paths in series and switchable means for biasing transistor T2 so that it may be either conducting or non- conducting. The transistors T2, T3 are connected as grounded base and transistor T1 may be grounded base as shown with the input applied to the emitter or may be grounded emitter with the input applied to the base. Transistors T2, T3 may be rendered conducting or non-conducting by a signal applied to the base of T2 or by transistor T4 which is normally conducting and hence maintains the transistors T2, T3 non-conducting. A negative-going switch pulse applied to the base of T4 raises its collector voltage allowing T2, T3 to conduct and a signal applied to T1 to be received at the tuned output 4, 5. Transistor T5 serves as a buffer amplifier between the tuned circuit and T3 and is omitted in Fig. 1 (not shown).
