Alarms operated by change of liquid level.-The rise of pressure in the tank 50 of a sprinkler system acts on a diaphragm 55 to start the spring motor 58 of a gramophone 63, the sound-box of which is connected to a megaphone 70 and to the telephone 72, the switch arm 78 of which is raised either permanently or periodically by means of the lever 76 on the starting of the motor 58.
