Abstract

1, 033, 564. Knitting machines. A. KIRKLAND & CO., Ltd. Oct. 10, 1962 [Oct. 11, 1961], No. 36474/61. Heading D1C. [Also in Division E2] A yarn guide comprises a support for mounting on a circular knitting-machine and a yarn guiding part, the two parts being separable and provided with a device for releasably fastening the parts together in positions determined by a locating means. A block attachable to the machine dial has dowels 5 which co-operate with holes on the yarn guiding part 10, to locate the parts relatively to each other, the parts being secured together by a "bayonet" fastening 9 (see Division E2) which engages a wire 7 provided in a recess 6 in the block. Release of the fastening allows the yarn guide part to be removed for cleaning, it may then be replaced without the need for subsequent adjustment. The part 17 of the guide is provided with guides 13, 14 and is adjustable relatively to the part 10.
