Lasts.-An adjustable and collapsible last for use in clog-lasting comprises separate toe and heel portions 1, 2 con. nected by a rod 3 which is rigid with the heel portion and has a threaded engagement with a pivot 5 in the toe portion; the toe portion is cut away at 7 to receive the rod 3 when the last is collapsed. A clog may be lasted on such a last in a multiplepincer machine such as is described in Specification 7005/00, the tack-driving mechanism, however, being removed.
