Abstract

1,031,259. Slide projection apparatus. EASTMAN KODAK CO. March 15,1965 [March 13, 1964], No. 10784/65. Heading G2J. An optical slide projector uses slides carried on a rotatable, circular magazine which is angularly indexed by a mechanism comprising a shift lever 3 mounted for linear and angular movement about pin 5 by a thrust member 8, and an abutment pin 6 movable to either of two positions on the pivoting plate 10 for alternative engagement with a pair of cam surfaces 15a, 15b on tongue 15 projecting from the lever 3 into opening 7, whereby forward or reverse indexing occurs when projection 17 on the lever engages pins 14 mounted peripherally on the magazine. Notches 18, 26 in lip 2 of the projector receive projection 17 to limit the indexing movement, Pin 6 is shifted between its two positions by electromagnet 19 whose armature 20 has a collar 23 engaging lug 25 to move plate 10 between stops 12, 27. Plate 10 pivots on pin 5 which is secured to the projector.
