Abstract

A paint comprises as a binder an aqueous dispersion of a copolymer of 40-60% styrene, 5-35% of butadiene and 10-35% of one or more esters of acrylic, methacrylic, maleic and/or fumaric acids. In an example, a paint contained an aqueous dispersion of a styrene-butadiene-octyl acrylate copolymer and a pigment paste comprising water, an alkyl phenol polyglycol ether, potassium pyrophosphate, sodium polyacrylate, methyl cellulose, titanium dioxide, mica, asbestos, talc, zinc white, dolomite and a silicone oil.
