Abstract

1,029,795. Air conditioning units; refrigerating. RIELLO CONDIZIONATORI S.p.A. DI GIORDANO RIELLO & CO. June 24, 1963 [June 28, 1962], No. 25104/63. Headings F4H and F4V. In an air-conditioning unit including a refrigeration circuit of the type in which room air is circulated over the evaporator 11 and externd air over the motor-compressor 17 and condenser 26, the motor compressor unit is mounted coaxially with the air circulating blowers 8 and 9 and their driving motor 10. The blowers 8 and 9 are of centrifugal type and are located one on each side of a partition 1 which divides the unit into compartments A and B. Air drawn into the unit by the blower 8 through a filter 3 is passed through a scroll casing 20 to the evaporator 11 and thence into the room. Condensate from the evaporator collects in a cup 13 and is discharged through a flexible duct 14 to the outlet 23 of the compressor cooling blower 9 whence it is blown over the condenser 26. Any condensate collecting in a cup 15 below the condenser is discharged through a duct 16 to the outlet 23. Control members are carried on a panel 18.
