An ozone generator comprises five electrodes, in the form of rectangular stainless steel screens, which are connected alternately to opposite poles of an A.C. source and separated by dielectric plates. The electrodes and separator plates are held in position by four slotted strips 9, Fig. 1 (not shown), which are, e.g., stuck to an L-shaped mounting-plate 12.
