Abstract
1,028,884. Damped structures. LORD CORPORATION. Feb. 24, 1964 [Feb. 25, 1963], No. 7531/64. Heading F2S. A damped structure, Fig. 3, comprises a layer of visco-elastic damping material of high internal hysteresis losses andlow modulus of elasticity which is bonded to two rigid structural members 9, 10, a number of random, or uniformly, arranged small plates 13 being dispersed within the visco-elastic layer to increase the loadbearing and damping effects of the structure.
