[Also in Division B4] Apparatus for stacking identical laminµ, e.g. sole blanks S, with the peripheral edges of the laminae in registry with the peripheral edge of a template T preparatory to trimming the peripheral edges of the laminµ, e.g. by means of the apparatus described in Specification 1,028,312 comprises a support 30, 31, 32 provided with means for detachably locating the template and adjustably-positioned plates 39, 42 for engaging the edges of the laminµ. The plate 39 is carried by a spindle 33 and the plate 42 by eccentrics 40, 41 fixed to spindles 34, 35, the spindles 33 to 35 having adjustably clamped thereto spring-influenced arms 36 to 38 which are rocked by collars 49 to 51 adjustable on an operating arm 46 coupled to a pneumaticallyoperable cylinder to enable the plates 39, 42 to be withdrawn when the template is located on the outer projections 59 of pins disposed in bosses 58 at the opposite ends of an arm 56 carried by the support 30, 31, 32. The laminµ are held between plates 17, 18 fitted respectively to inner projections 59 and projections 71 on rods 65 connected by a member 66 fitted with an operating rod 67 formed by the piston rod of a pneumatically-operable cylinder 68.
