Abstract

A liquid concentrate suitable for addition to drinking water for use in the treatment or prevention of coccidiosis in poultry comprises sulphaquinoxaline and diaveridine (2,4-diamino-5-(3,4-dimethoxybenzyl) pyrinidine) in solution in a polyethylene glycol containing between 0.5 and 2.0 equivalent weights (based on the weight of diaveridine present) of a physiologically-acceptable acid and water. The acid may be hydrochloric, sulphuric, phosphoric, methanesulphonic or isothionic acid. The acid may also be included in the mixture in the form of an acid addition salt of diaveridine.
