1,027,309. Washing metal pans. R. K. NOLTE. Jan. 21, 1963, No. 2504/63. Heading A4F. A machine for washing bakery pans comprises an endless conveyor 12 which carries the pans 14 through a series of tunnel sections for spraying successively with (a) hot washing liquid by sprayers 17 (b) hot rinsing liquid by sprayers 21, and (c) hotter rinsing liquid by sprayers 26, after which the pans 14 are cooled and dried by jets of air at room temperature blown over them through nozzles 39 by a flower 37. The hotter rinsing liquid which raises the temperature of the pans to assist the drying operations is heated by a steam coil 22, and a surface active agent is introduced therein to form a container v.
