1,026,107. Ladders. C. L. WELLER. Jan. 15, 1965 [Jan. 17,1964], No. 2120/64. Heading A6L. A folding ladder for a fire escape &c. having rungs 3 pivoted to the stiles 1, 2 so that they can be closed together, is mounted on a wall and held in the closed position by a hand or electrically operated catch mechanism 10, 14. The rungs are enclosed in the channel section stiles. The electric circuit may include an alarm and a heat sensitive device for closing the circuit.
