Crank-shafts. - A crankshaft for multicylinder fluidpressure engines is provided with narrow ball or roller bearings for the shaft and crank-pins, and wide angular webs; it is of the built-up type and preferably has webs of channel section. The builtup shaft shown has roller bearings A, B, C with the surfaces of the outer race rings spherical, roller bearings K, and webs of the section shown in Fig. 2.
