Abstract

Compounds of formula <FORM:1024660/C2/1> where A represents benzene or chlorobenzene, and R phenyl which may be substituted by chlorine or methoxy, are obtained by heating a compound <FORM:1024660/C2/2> with a compound <FORM:1024660/C2/3> preferably in an organic solvent. In an example, 2,3 - dihydro - 2,6 - dichlor - 3 - keto - benzo-1,4thiazine is refluxed in benzene with thiobenzamide (or the 4-chlor or 4-methoxy derivative), while separating water. The products are used as anthelmintics and insecticides.
