Abstract

1,022,310. Wafering machine. DEERE & CO. Oct. 29, 1964 [Oct. 30, 1963], No. 44157/64. Heading A2B. In a machine for wafering hay and the like, comprising an annular arrangement of radial die cells, consisting of a pair of axially spaced apart ring members having die blocks disposed between them, the die blocks are each of integral one piece construction and have projecting ribs which abut against the next die block, thereby forming die cells consisting of the spaces between the ribs. Fig. 9 shows a suitable construction of one such die block, and Fig. 8 illustrates a portion of an assembly of such die blocks. Fig. 6 illustrates a simpler die block.
