Abstract

1,021,910. Steam cooking apparatus. F. KUPPERSBUSCH & SOHNE A.G. Jan. 28, 1965 [Jan. 28, 1964], No. 3778/65. Heading A4D. A cooker operating at superatmospheric steam pressure is of segmented construction and contains an undriven conveyer or inclined runway extending from end to end between pressure resisting doors. Preferably, an inclined roller conveyer 4 extends between inwardly opening doors 5 and 6 of identical end units 1 and 2. Conventional steam generating equipment may be housed beneath the conveyer 4 to supply steam inlet nozzles 7. The length of the cooker may be varied by altering the number of intermediate sections 3. Reference is made to the operation of the cooker under timer control in which the cooking is stopped by the injection of water.
