Abstract
1,020,870. Transistor pulse discriminating circuits. MARCONI CO. Ltd. Sept. 20, 1962 [Dec. 11, 1961], No. 44218/61. Heading H3T. A mixture of long and short pulses, e.g. television frame and line pulses are applied to a transistor T 2 which is normally " bottomed " but has a charge storage time such that the transistor remains bottomed during the short pulses but not during the long so that output pulses corresponding only to the long pulses are produced. In the circuit shown the pulses are applied through a phase inverter stage T1 and a negative temperature coefficient resistor R5 stabilizes the operation with changes in temperature.
