Abstract

1,020,793. Brush holders for electric motors. T. MABUCHI. Jan. 21, 1964 [April 22, 1963 (2)], No. 2560/64. Heading H2A. A miniature electric motor has an insulation cover-plate 2 on which is mounted with a resilient deformation the base portion of a resilient brush holder 1c which is secured to the plate wholly or largely by the resilient recovery force of the base portion acting on projections from the plate. As shown, the projections are pins 21 ... 23. of which the middle one 22 is either stepped to receive a speed nut 3 or flanged by heat treatment to retain the brush holder. The projections alternatively may define either straight or arcuate grooves, and the brush holder has fixed to it the brush and a terminal tag which projects through the plate to the motor exterior.
