1,020,596. Magnetic compositions. STEATIT-MAGNESIA A.G. Feb. 18, 1963 [Feb. 17, 1962], No. 6463/63. Heading H1H. A manganese zinc ferrite is made by firing the constituents in an atmosphere containing oxygen at a partial pressure determined by the graph of where p is the partial pressure of oxygen in atmospheres and T is the temperature in degrees Kelvin. The proportions of manganese and zinc ferrite components are 52À5 to 70% (preferably 54 to 66%) and 20 to 42À5% (preferably 26 to 38%) respectively. The ferrite is held for 2 hours at 1260‹ C.
