Abstract

101,938. Cooper, E. W., and Dalton, Barton, & Co. May 30, 1916. Drawings to Specification. Poocess for twisting cord &c.-The strands to form the cord &c. are drawn from a creel of idle bobbins by a feed-roller. The laying is effected by a top and flyer arrangement, and the cord is wound on a bobbin co-axial with the flyer. The essential feature of the invention is that the strands on the creel bobbins possess a certain amount of primary twist which is just taken out by the contrary twisting action of the flyer. The cord &c. thus produced requires no further twisting to make it limp and ready for use. Specification 2759/11 is referred to.
