Abstract

1019017 Spray producers R H ABPLANALP 5 Nov 1962 [17 Nov 1961] 41700/62 Headings FIR R3A3D2 R3A3D7 and R3A3D9 [Also in Division H5] A dispensing device, for attachment to an aerosol container having a valve stem, includes a cap for mounting on the container, which cap houses both a valve actuator, and an electric heating element surrounding a heat-conductive conduit which is connected at one end to a discharge passage, and is connectable at the other end to the valve stem, the conduit within the heating element being of capillary bore to prevent foaming of the aerosol while passing therethrough. Plastic cap 6 can be detachably snapped over the curled edge 5 of a container C of aerosol shaving cream, which latter is dischargeable through the conduit 4, and thence through the cap by way of the metal conduit 12, member 9, and discharge spout 11, by depression of tab 8 to actuate the valve 3. An insulated resistance or induction heating element 15 is mounted around conduit 12. The decrease in bore of member 9 improves heat exchange by restricting the rate of flow, the expansion chamber and spout 10 finally permitting foaming.
