Abstract
1,017,588. Ploughs. S. TAKAKITA. Oct. 19, 1962 [April 30, 1962], No. 39670/62. Heading A1B. Plough bodies 11 are connected by shanks 12 to endless driven chains 9, 9<SP>1</SP> mounted on a framework adapted for attachment to a tractor, the shank 12 carrying a roller 15 engaging a guide plate 20 supported on the framework. A further roller 17 rolls on a vertical guide plate 19. The chains may be driven to move the plough bodies in opposite directions or in the same direction in which case the shanks 12 may be interconnected by a connecting rod. The framework is such that when attached to a tractor each set of plough bodies lies in a plane extending at an oblique angle to the direction of travel of the tractor, the two planes on either side of the tractor forming a shallow V-shape.
