Abstract
1,017,081. Pulse circuits. BLANKPUMKTWERKE G.m.b.H. Oct. 4, 1962 [Oct. 10, 1961], No. 37652/62. Heading H3P. In a television receiver in which the frame synchronizing pulse is separated from the composite synchronizing pulse train by an integrator circuit 1-4 and applied via an amplifier stage 7 to synchronize the frame blocking oscillator 23, the anode circuit of the amplifier includes a resonant circuit 8, 9, tuned to a frequency, e.g. 300 c/s., considerably higher than the frame frequency, and a damping circuit comprising a diode 10 and resistor 11 is connected across the tuned circuit, the pulse train generated in the resonant circuit and appearing at the junction of the diode and resistor being applied to synchronize the oscillator. A capacitor 20 serves to integrate the pulse train. Interaction between the frame oscillator and separator stage is avoided by applying the pulse train to the anode of the oscillator valve through a resistor 21 and capacitor 22. Amplifier 7 is operated with a short grid base characteristic, so as to limit the input signal excursions and thereby eliminate interference, by returning the grid to a positive potential via resistor 16 and providing a low screen voltage by way of potential divider 18, 19. A switch or relay circuit may be provided to reverse the connections to diode 10 to allow for operation with received signals bearing either positive or negative modulation.
