Abstract

1,017,071. Dispensing articles. FISHER & LUDLOW Ltd. May 18, 1962 [May 19, 1961], No. 18255/61. Heading B8S. Nuts 14 are fed, e.g. from a hopper (not shown) down a flexible tubular guideway which is encased, at its discharge end, in a rigid sheath 21. Discharge is controlled by springs 24, Fig. 5, which are pushed aside when the leading nut is removed. The guideway and the surrounding sheath are slotted at the end so that an operator holding hand grip 37 may pass a fixed peg 36 through the slot into the hole of the leading nut and discharge the latter by movement of the end of the guideway. The orientation of the emerging nut is controlled by the portions 27 of the springs 24.
