In a rotary duplicating machine having twin stencil drums 14, 15 around which the stencil is wrapped mounted on an ink cloth 1 any adjustment of the stencil mounting so that the typed lines on the stencil will be printed parallel to the edge of the copy paper, irrespective of whether the lines are slanting on the stencil, is effected by skewing the ink cloth relative to the axes of the drums. For this purpose the cloth is carried by a bar 17, Fig. 2, mounted on two endless bands 16, one of which is not shown, stretched around the drums 14, 15 with which they rotate. The cloth, which incorporates a stencil mounting bar 21, is strengthened at its ends 5, 5<SP>1</SP>, the former carrying a shaped connecting-wire 13 whilst the latter has formed therein slots 9, 10 and 11 which are of a general arcuate shape, the centre of curvature being the centre O of the cloth as illustrated in Fig. 1. Attachable to the wire 13 is a hook-shaped member 20 carrying a pin 19 whilst similar pins 6, 7 and 8 are mounted on the bar 17. The latter also mounts a slot 18 for accommodating the pin 19 on the member 20. The pins 19 and 7 are connected by a rotatable disc 22 which embodies radially directed slots 24 and 23 for housing the pins. In use the cloth 1 carrying the stencil is attached to the bar through the interengagement of pins and slots 6, 9, 7, 10 and 8, 11 at the end 5 and through the interconnection of the wire 13 with the hook of the member 20 at the end 5<SP>1</SP>. Skewing of the cloth 1 to correct any skewing of the printed lines on the copy sheets is effected by rotation of the disc 22.
