[Also in Division F2] An idler roller for conveyer belts comprises a metal core a on which are secured a layer b of antistatic ebonite composition, and a layer c of fire-resisting neoprene composition which has a hardness intermediate that of the ebonite and a soft neoprene cushion d. The cushion is formed from a fire-resisting compound having a hardness of approximately 40/45‹ B.S.H. A cover b of neoprene or other artificial rubber which is both fire resisting and antistatic is finally applied and forms end caps 61 so that contact is made with the antistatic ebonite layer b.
