Abstract

1,015,969. Casting. M. & T. MACPHERSON COATINGS Ltd. July 24, 1964, No. 29741/64. Heading B5A. A laminate is formed by applying a layer of a plastisol of a non-foaming resin, e.g. polyvinylchloride, to a suitable substrate, e.g. a belt, applying a layer of a plastisol containing a foaming agent to said layer, which is yet ungelled, heating the two layers to gel and subsequently fuse them together and finally removing them from the substrate. The substrate may be a mould, for use in making car seats, in which case the two layers are sprayed on to the mould walls and the mould passed through an oven to fire or gel the layers. The thus formed layers are removed from the mould and are stuffed with polyurethane foam.
