Abstract

Articles are coated with hydraulic cement by applying a mixture of the cement with an organic liquid or liquids, and subsequently evaporating the organic liquid and supplying water to set the cement. The article may be heated to drive off the organic liquid and then exposed to water vapour or moist air. The process is suitable for coating resistors.
