Abstract

1,015,116. Electron beam deflection devices. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES Ltd. Dec. 21, 1962, No. 48320/62. Heading H1D. To prevent " crosstalk " between horizontal and vertical deflection coils of a cathode-ray tube in an arrangement employing a pair of coils for each direction on a single ferromagnetic core, one of the coils one pair comprises a short-circuited winding and is in two parts in a " figure-of-eight " configuration. As shown, each part of the short-circuited winding comprises three turns in parallel, and is produced by moulding or casting, but alternatively it may be electrolytically deposited or be made of metal foil.
