Abstract

Water is disinfected with either a compound or a mixture of compounds containing both N-chlorine and N-bromine linkages. Cyanurates are excepted but a large number of examples of suitable compounds are given.ALSO:Disinfecting compositions comprise mixtures containing compounds with N-chlorine and N-bromine linkages other than cyanerates.
