Abstract

1,013,695. Separating liquids from gases. FRIGOSCANDIA Ltd. Sept. 10, 1962 [Sept. 22, 1961], No. 34566/62. Heading BIT. At least one generally horizontal filter of corrugated form is interposed in the path of an upward flowing stream of liquid particle-laden gas and a vertical plate 5 hangs from each trough and serves to discharge separated liquid particles. As shown, three corrugation filter elements 1-3 of increasing density are arranged in series within a casing 4 and comprise layers of expanded metal having rhombic apertures having their acute angles directed towards the crests 6 and troughs of the elements.
