Abstract

Metal parts in orthodontic and pedodontic fittings are coated with a scratch-resistant flexible coating which will blend in colour with natural teeth, the material used for the coating being non-toxic and not affected by acids in the mouth. Braces and bands used for straightening children's teeth, and crowns, e.g. of stainless steel, may be coated (e.g. by spraying, dipping or brushing) with a stoving enamel comprising epoxy resin and urea-formaldehyde resin, and heated.ALSO:Metal parts in orthodontic and pedodontic fittings are coated with a scratch-resistant flexible coating which will blend in colour with natural teeth, the material used for the coating being non-toxic and not affected by acids in the mouth.
