Abstract
1,012,673. Sack-holders. PAPER SACKS Ltd. March 22, 1962 [March 24, 1961], No. 10822/61. Heading B8C. A pair of inverted U- shaped frames 1, 2 for gripping opposite sides of the mouth of a paper sack can be relatively pivoted about their lower ends to open or close the sack. In the arrangement shown the clamping member 2 is carried by arms 4 pivoted at 5. The edges of the sack may be clamped by cranked rails 9 as described in Specification 969,229, and apertures 13 facilitate rising the rails. Spring-biased arms 16 engage within the side gussets of the sack and a ledge 14 on one clamping member 2 nests over the other clamping member 1 to provide a seal over the mouth of the sack. The device may be constructed for attachment to a wall or to a stand, or may be formed integrally with a stand.
