Abstract

101,188. Clulee, S. J. April 12, 1916. Eyeglasses.-The plaquets of astigmatic spectacles and eyeglasses are made adjustable on the rims. The plaquets 15 are attached to a sleeve 36 secured by a screw 37 to another sleeve 30 attached to one part 17 of a clamp, comprising two parts joined together by a screw 28 and adapted to grip the rim 11. In the modification shown in Figs. 8 and 9, the rims are attached to blocks 40 slidable on a bar 39 and secured in position by a screw 4L, and the plaquets 15 are carried on arms 43, which can be bent for adjustment and are carried by a two-part clamp 17 as in the other-case.
