Abstract

Moulding materials are made by dispersing an elastomeric 1,4-polybutadiene rubber having a narrow molecular weight distribution and in which the 1,4-linkages are predominantly trans-1,4-linkages in a vinyl aromatic monomer or mixture thereof with another monomer, and subjecting the resulting dispersion to polymerization. The examples describe thermally polymerizing solutions of polybutadiene in styrene or a mixture of styrene and vinyl toluene.
