Abstract

1,010,357. Microwave filters. PHILIPS ELECTRONIC & ASSOCIATED INDUSTRIES Ltd. Dec. 2, 1963 [Dec. 5, 1962], No. 47553/63. Heading H1W. A molecular-resonance absorption filter, for use in the range 1-10 Gc/s, comprises two reflectors 1 spaced by n#/2 at the wavelength # of the resonance frequency and a mica foil 3 positioned at angle of 45 degrees to the reflectors, the whole being enclosed in a gas-filled envelope 5. Energy is coupled into and out of the system by the mica foil 3 which is situated between a pair of microwave horns 4, 4a.
