Abstract

1,006,625. Radio receiver switching arrangements; adjusting radio tuning controls. OAK MANUFACTURING CO. Oct. 22, 1963 [Oct. 24, 1962], No. 41638/63. Heading H3Q. [Also in Division H2] A combined selector switch and fine tuner for a television receiver comprises a rotor body 31 having a plurality of coils 30 accommodated in compartments 35 and secured by soldering their leads 38 in respective sockets integral with blade contacts 41 firmly mounted on the periphery of rotor 31 (see Division H2). Rotor 31 is turned to select a coil 30 by means of shaft 14, suitable indexing means 15 ensuring that the corresponding contacts 41 are accurately aligned with the fixed clip contacts 70. Coils 30 are tunable by slugs provided by screws 16 threadedly engaged in a support 17, which is keyed to shaft 14 for rotation with rotor 31. A gear 21 on the end of the screw 16 associated with the selected coil 30 is thereby brought into engagement with a gear 18 which can be revolved for fine tuning by means of hollow shaft 19 and gears 20.
