Abstract

1,000,622. Flexible seals. AUTOMOTIVE PRODUCTS CO. Ltd. July 10, 1964 [July 10, 1963], No. 27356/63. Heading E2F. [Also in Division F2] A flexible sealing boot 10 for a ball joint is secured to the socket 1 by means of a garter clip 13 and engages at its other end a channel section groove 16 of a ring 15, having close tolerance fit with the shank 6 of the ball pin, the ring being made of synthetic plastic, preferably having self-lubricating properties and having a radial passage or passages 17 to permit air to enter or pass from the boot.
