Abstract

A condensing unit for a water heating boiler comprises flue gas passageways 20 extending through a water jacket 32, each flue gas passageway 20 having an inlet end 22 arranged to receive flue gas from the primary boiler and an outlet end 24 arranged to communicate with an exhaust flue 6, wherein the condensing unit includes an inspection panel 34 for providing access to the outlet ends 24 of the flue gas passageways 20 to permit cleaning of the passageways. The inlet ends 22 of the passageways may bend towards a primary boiler and/or flue gas source of the water heating boiler.
