L’invention concerne un turbomoteur (110) pour un hélicoptère (100) comprenant un générateur de gaz (114) ayant un arbre de générateur de gaz (115), une turbine libre (124) destinée à être entraînée en rotation par un flux de gaz généré par le générateur de gaz et comportant un arbre de turbine libre (128) s’étendant coaxialement à l’intérieur de l’arbre de générateur de gaz (115) et adapté pour la transmission de puissance vers une boîte de transmission principale (112) de l’hélicoptère, et un dispositif de réduction de vitesse (140) destiné à être entrainé par la turbine libre et configuré pour réduire la vitesse de rotation de l’arbre de turbine libre, caractérisé en ce que le dispositif de réduction de vitesse est agencé en aval de la turbine libre (124).
