Description
Domaine technique auquel se rapporte l'inventionTechnical field to which the invention relates
The present invention relates to a bonnet for a motor vehicle as well as a motor vehicle comprising said bonnet.
Arrière-plan technologiqueTechnology background
A motor vehicle bonnet consists, in a conventional manner, of an external panel called skin, forming the visible side of the bonnet, and of an internal reinforcing panel called lining, intended to face the engine.
The lining and the skin are joined together at their periphery, in order to form a single part, the hood. Wedging studs are interposed between the lining and the skin, in order to give the hood a complex shape so as to satisfy aerodynamic and aesthetic requirements.
The bonnet liner also absorbs some of the energy generated during the impact of a pedestrian on the bonnet, deforming during the impact.
In order to increase the damping properties of the bonnet, document FR2917700B1 proposes the use of a lining, having at least in its central part, a section in the form of stair steps. The step-like section consists of main sections. The main sections are rectilinear and substantially parallel to each other. The main sections are connected by equally rectilinear intermediate sections. The intermediate sections are perpendicular or substantially perpendicular to the main sections, in order to form risers.
Advantageously, this stepped profile promotes increased deformation of the bonnet, between two main sections held to the skin of the bonnet.
Conversely, at the level of these main sections, the bonnet has a much greater rigidity, liable to seriously injure a pedestrian impacting the bonnet, at the level of a main section linked to the skin of the bonnet.
The invention aims to remedy this problem by proposing a bonnet for a motor vehicle, having a lining that deforms more evenly under the impact of a pedestrian.
Objet de l’inventionObject of the invention
To achieve this result, the invention proposes a bonnet for a motor vehicle, comprising a skin forming the visible side of the bonnet and a lining forming a reinforcement for the bonnet. The lining has, at least in its central part, a section comprising at least two first main sections, integral with the skin of the hood. At least one second main section is kept at a distance from the skin of the bonnet, between two first main sections. The main sections being straight and interconnected by at least one intermediate section.
The invention is remarkable in that at least one intermediate section is curved. In other words, two straight main sections are linked by at least one non-straight intermediate section.
Advantageously, the inventors have found that the interposition of an intermediate section, curved between two straight main sections, promotes greater deformation of the bonnet, at the level of the main section linked to the skin of the bonnet. As a result, the deformation of the bonnet under the impact of a pedestrian tends to be more homogeneous, compared to a bonnet of the prior art as described above.
According to another advantage, the curved shape of the intermediate section promotes greater deformation of said section before rupture. Thus, the invention provides a more resilient hood liner when subjected to mechanical stress. The bonnet liner is therefore less likely to break, when a pedestrian strikes the bonnet, the bonnet is therefore less likely to injure the pedestrian with protruding ends of main or intermediate sections.
According to a variant embodiment of the invention, the opposite ends of a first main section are linked to an intermediate section according to the invention, so as to form an arch with rounded or substantially rounded edges, except at the level of the first main section. which is straight. This embodiment is particularly advantageous for allowing easier insertion of the cover, at the level of the first main section, due to the deformation of the intermediate sections, while preserving or substantially preserving the shape of the first main section.
According to a variant embodiment of the invention, at least one second main section is parallel or substantially parallel to at least one first main section.
According to a variant embodiment of the invention, the angle of curvature of at least one intermediate section is between 5° and 50°, preferably between 10° and 30° or between 40° and 50°.
According to a variant embodiment of the invention, between a first main section and a second main section, the radius of curvature of an intermediate section is identical or substantially identical, over its entire length.
En d’autres termes, les tronçons intermédiaires forment un « S » ou forment sensiblement « S ».According to a variant embodiment of the invention, two intermediate sections connect a first main section to a second main section, and the intermediate sections have opposite curvature. In other words, the intermediate sections form an "S" or substantially form an "S".
According to a variant embodiment of the invention, the intermediate sections are connected by an auxiliary section, and the auxiliary section is straight. This embodiment advantageously makes it possible to increase the rigidity of the second main sections. According to a preferred embodiment, the intermediate sections, connected by the auxiliary section, have different angles of curvature.
According to a variant embodiment of the invention, between two first main sections, there is a second main section and a third straight main section. Preferably, the second main section is linked to the third main section via an auxiliary section, and the auxiliary section is straight.
The invention also relates to a motor vehicle comprising a bonnet as described above.
