Figure pour l’abrégé : figure 3The invention relates to a surveillance device integrated and concealed in a work of art (100). It consists of a work of art (100) and a set of sensors (201) connected to a computer system (202). An object of the present invention is to provide a monitoring solution which is more effective than a conventional monitoring system in that it is positioned at the center of the space (104) to be observed without its being suspected. its ability to capture, that the cameras (201) and the computer system (202) are effectively hidden there, and that its state of a work of art (100) encourages individuals (101) who pass nearby to look at it (106 ). It thus makes it possible to obtain full-face and very close-up images (301) of the individuals being monitored. Such a device makes it possible to effectively monitor all spaces (104) where a work of art (100) is legitimate, whether public or private. Figure for abstract: figure 3

The present invention relates to a surveillance system which is in the form of a work of art.
Such a work having surveillance as its additional object will be referred to as a panoptic work in the remainder of this document.
Technique antérieure (état de l’art)Prior art (state of the art)
On the one hand, a work of art is classically a painting, a sculpture, an architecture, a music, a text...
In addition, it must be able to contain one or more cameras (201). Its surface may be of such quality that it will allow the sensor to film through it while concealing it
So far, artworks are viewed (106) by viewers (101), rather than the other way around (203).
There are works that are equipped with sensors and interact with the public. However, these works offer an immediate rendering of their perception and do not conceal their capacities.
A work of art in the common sense has no immediate utility.
On the other hand, a classic surveillance system is composed of a set of cameras arranged on the outskirts of the space to be monitored. They are most often visible.
When they are concealed they can be enclosed in radomes which make it possible not to reveal their orientation, however their existence remains visible.
They can also be hidden behind one-way glass, but the device requires that the configuration lends itself to it, often that the place be specially designed for this purpose (casino, interrogation room). The disadvantage of such an installation is that monitoring is only exercised over a limited angle.
Another disadvantage is that in all cases where the surveillance system is visible or its presence can be assumed, the individuals to be monitored may develop an avoidance strategy that diminishes the effectiveness of conventional surveillance devices.
In addition, the images obtained are of poor quality, taken from afar and from indirect angles, generally from a low angle.
It is therefore necessary to obtain precise images (301) of the individuals to be monitored to position the cameras at face height (105) but it is then necessary to find a solution so that the individuals do not run away from such a confrontation.
An optimal solution would be for the individual to be observed to be encouraged to look (106) at the camera which is filming him (203).
An object of the present invention is to provide a surveillance solution which is the most effective in that it is positioned in the center of the space to be observed without its capacity to be suspected, whether the cameras are there. effectively concealed, and that the individuals to be monitored are encouraged to look at it.
To this end, the installation of a work of art in the center of the space is proposed.
2) un socle (107) procurant un espace de stockage bienvenu pour disposer l’équipement informatique (202)This work of art is characterized by having
1) built-in cameras
2) a pedestal (107) providing welcome storage space for arranging the computing equipment (202)
Avantageusement, l’œuvre panoptique est exposée en évidence, possiblement au centre de l’espace (104) à surveillerAdvantageously, the panoptic work is displayed prominently, possibly in the center of the space (104) to be monitored
It invites the spectators (101) to come closer to better contemplate it, thus making it possible to obtain tighter shots (301)
Avantageusement, l’œuvre peut-être recouverte en partie ou totalement de miroirs pour inciter les spectateurs (101) à se regarder, permettant ainsi d’obtenir des plans plus serrés (301)Advantageously, the work can be partially or totally covered with mirrors to encourage spectators (101) to look at each other, thus making it possible to obtain closer shots (301)
Avantageusement, ces miroirs peuvent être sans tain et dissimuler un capteur (201)Advantageously, these mirrors can be one-way and conceal a sensor (201)
Avantageusement, l’œuvre panoptique peut être monumentale et dissimuler de nombreuses caméras (201), ainsi que tout le système informatique nécessaire (202)Advantageously, the panoptic work can be monumental and hide many cameras (201), as well as all the necessary computer system (202)
Avantageusement l'œuvre panoptique est légitime dans tous les endroits : musée (401), hall (402), rondpoint (403), centre commercial (404), établissements recevant du public, chez un particulierAdvantageously, the panoptic work is legitimate in all places: museum (401), hall (402), roundabout (403), shopping center (404), establishments open to the public, in private homes
Avantageusement l'œuvre panoptique est susceptible d'ajouter un intérêt esthétique (103) à l’endroit où elle se trouve exposée, ce qui peut permettre une meilleure acceptation de sa présenceAdvantageously the panoptic work is likely to add an aesthetic interest (103) to the place where it is exposed, which can allow a better acceptance of its presence
Avantageusement la forme de l'œuvre panoptique peut être spécialement adaptée à la conformation spatiale du lieu, et aux nécessités de captation des imagesAdvantageously, the form of the panoptic work can be specially adapted to the spatial conformation of the place, and to the needs for capturing images.
