L'invention concerne un procédé de gestion d'une image dans un dispositif d'éclairage automobile (10). Ce procédé comprend les étapes consistant à fournir un premier motif d'image (1) comprenant une pluralité de pixels (11), à sélectionner une partie pertinente de la valeur de chaque pixel et à préparer des données compressées liées aux valeurs pertinentes, ainsi que des données liées à la position du pixel ayant une valeur égale à zéro.Figure pour résumé : figure 7a
