Description
Domaine de l’inventionField of invention
The invention belongs to the field of geosynthetics. More particularly, it relates to a knitted textile structure, intended to be deposited on embankments, and in general sloping areas, and its main purpose is to maintain or retain materials (topsoil, granular material) deposited on such embankments, after having carried out structural work in particular, thus defining embankments with more or less steep slopes, such as the construction of ditches in the context of civil engineering, storage centers, etc., and with the aim of revegetation and/or protection of such embankments.
The invention also relates to the method for producing such a knitted textile structure.
Etat antérieur de la techniquePrior state of the art
The construction of civil engineering works, such as roads, highways, railways, waste storage cover, etc. causes the formation of embankments, the slope of which is more or less steep, and which should be revegetated and/or protected, or even drained. As part of such revegetation, it is therefore important to spread topsoil on these embankments, in order to allow the vegetation to grow efficiently and sustainably.
Classically, we come up against the problem of maintaining the materials thus spread on the embankments, and in particular of fighting against their sliding down the slope, born of gravity, in addition to the phenomena of runoff resulting from bad weather, and its corollary, the defect or the poor revegetation wherever the earth has thus been evacuated.
In order to overcome this difficulty, it has been proposed to position and fix on these embankments textile nets, in particular made by weaving or knitting, fixed to the slopes, and defining, due to the nature of the yarns constituting said nets, areas in relief able to at least partially retain the materials (topsoil, granular element, etc.). Typically, such a net is made up of cables made of synthetic materials (PP, PE, polyester, etc.), which have the advantage of being insensitive to degradation whatever the environment, and also of making it possible to control the erosion.
However, it is observed in use that these nets are not dimensionally stable. In addition, it frequently presents a reinforcement through technical threads, limited only in one dimension, typically the direction of the slope. Finally, such a product does not have a filtering or anti-punching action, that is to say capable of reducing if not canceling the degradation, even the destruction inherent in the rocks present in the surface to be covered, generating phenomena perforation of the waterproofing membranes, when such membranes are implemented (for example in the context of dykes), and shearing of the cables, in particular.
Furthermore, the nets available to date conventionally have relatively limited dimensions in their lengths and their widths, resulting from their embodiment. However, such widths often prove to be insufficient, consequently requiring multiple handling and installation operations, increasing the installation costs.
Moreover, experience shows that the relief generated by such nets in relation to the slope of the embankment to be revegetated and/or protected is insufficient to retain the covering material in a truly effective manner.
L’invention vise à pallier ces différents inconvénients.The invention aims to overcome these various drawbacks.
It concerns a knitted textile structure with a geosynthetic function, consisting of the association by knitting of a geosynthetic support with a plurality of technical elements defining zones in relief with respect to said geosynthetic support.
In doing so, we have a textile structure combining both a geosynthetic function resulting from the geotextile support implemented, directly on the slope with technical elements, forming relief with respect to this support, and therefore able to retain the material. recovery.
Strips or strips can be used, resting on said geosynthetic support on their edge, that is to say at their thinnest edge. They thus define a real relief in relation to the surface defined by the geotextile support, likely to extend over a height at least equal to 3 millimeters. These relief elements are typically made of natural, metallic and/or synthetic materials (PP, stainless steel, linen, etc.)
Advantageously, this structure is provided with technical reinforcing threads, oriented in the transverse direction and/or in the production direction. Typically, these technical reinforcement yarns are made of natural, metallic and/or synthetic materials (polyester, stainless steel, linen, etc.). Their essential function is to guarantee the physical and mechanical strength of the geosynthetic against the mass of the retained material.
– à dérouler un support géosynthétique à vitesse constante ;
The invention also relates to a method for producing such a knitted textile structure. This process consists of:
– unrolling a geosynthetic support at constant speed;
– circulating said geosynthetic support within a warp knitting machine, comprising at least two bars:
. one meshing, intended to ensure the joining of technical elements in relief to the geosynthetic support,
. the second ensuring the delivery of said technical elements in relief at the level of the action zone of the meshing bar.
Advantageously, technical reinforcing yarns are also inserted, by means of said second bar or a third bar, ensuring the delivery of said technical yarns.
Partial wefts can also be brought using said third bar, with the aim of facilitating the knitting and meshing of the different elements (elements in relief, reinforcing threads and geosynthetic support) between them.
According to the invention, an active multi-weft weft carriage can be implemented in order to allow the insertion of technical yarns in the cross direction.
