L’invention concerne un dispositif de sécurité adaptable sur une cellule électrochimique (1), ladite cellule comportant un conteneur (10) comprenant au moins une paroi dotée d'au moins une amorce de rupture, adaptée pour se rompre en cas de défaut pour expulser les gaz, caractérisé en ce que le dispositif de sécurité comporte : Un dispositif de maintien agencé pour assurer un appui contre ladite au moins une paroi de la cellule pour la maintenir en position en cas d'emballement thermique,Un dispositif de libération des gaz, agencé pour garantir l'expulsion des gaz en dehors de la cellule, en cas d'emballement thermique.
