Appareil de défroissage comportant une poignée (2) et une tête (3) d’émission de vapeur reliée à la poignée (2), la tête (3) d’émission de vapeur comportant une face de traitement (30) munie d’au moins un orifice de sortie de vapeur (33) et destinée à venir verticalement en regard d’un vêtement à défroisser, la tête (3) d’émission de vapeur comportant en outre un dispositif de diffusion d’un additif (7) et un corps chauffant (6) comprenant une chambre de vaporisation instantanée (63), la vapeur produite par la chambre de vaporisation instantanée (63) s’échappant en direction dudit au moins un orifice de sortie de vapeur (33) par un circuit de distribution de vapeur (66), caractérisé en ce que le circuit de distribution de vapeur (66) comporte un circuit de dérivation (67) comprenant ledit dispositif de diffusion d’un additif (7), le circuit de dérivation (67) permettant de prélever une partie du flux de vapeur produit par la chambre de vaporisation instantanée (63) pour y incorporer un additif avant l’émission de ce dernier par ledit au moins un orifice de sortie de vapeur (33).
