Claims

Mask support comprising two lateral branches joined at one of their ends, characterized in that each branch has a three-dimensional shape such that it can conform to a human skull, comprising at least the following four parts:
- one end joined to the other branch, forming a support zone against the occipital,
- a nuchal section which extends from the support zone and descends in the nape of the neck by wrapping around the neck in the direction of the lower jaw,
- a lateral section which passes under the temporal to the lower jaw,
- a terminal section that goes up along the mandibular ramus.

Support according to claim 1, comprising a member connecting the two joined ends of the two side branches, this member being provided with means for adjusting the distance between the said two ends, so as to fix the spacing between the two side branches.

Support according to Claim 2, in which the connecting member is a box comprising a body and a cover, capable of pinching the two ends of the two lateral hips when the box is closed, by immobilizing them with respect to each other. another in a relative position taken when the case is open.

Support according to claim 3, in which the casing is such that the body and the lid comprise complementary shapes between which the ends of the two branches are embedded when the casing is closed.

Support according to any one of Claims 3 and 4, in which the casing has a flat face constituting the zone of support against the occipital bone.

Support according to any one of claims 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5, in which at least one of the branches comprises, in its part intended to pass under the temporal bone, a connection between the said lateral branch and the terminal section, said connector being adjustable so as to modify the distance between the terminal section and the zone of support against the occipital.

Support according to claim 6, in which the connection consists of a wheel pivotally mounted on the branch and a rack integral with the terminal section.

Support according to any one of claims 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7, in which the terminal section is mounted on an articulation which allows it to pivot between a protective position, along the mandibular ramus, and a release position, substantially in the extension of the lateral section.

Support according to claim 8, in which the articulation comprises a return means which, at rest, puts the end section back in the protective position.
