Abstract
Dispositif de protection active contre de la fibre de carbone contre la chaleur, les rayonnements et les flammes grâce à un bouclier externe en pierre et matériau adhésif étanche. L’invention concerne un dispositif permettant de retarder la dégradation ou la destruction par flammes, rayonnements ou chaleur d’un composite pierre-fibre de carbone. Il est constitué d’une paroi une couche de minéral (1) enveloppant des fibres de carbone (2) enrobées d’un matériau adhésif (3). Le dispositif selon l’invention est particulièrement destiné à présenter une résistance incendie supérieure ou égale à celle des matériaux traditionnels. L’adhésif (résine ou ciment thermorésistant) constitue un bouclier de protection disposé entre les fibres en quantité suffisante pour protéger la fibre carbonée (en carbone pur ou composé artificiel ou naturel de carbone et d’autres éléments chimiques) tout en permettant le contact direct entre la fibre et la pierre. Le remplissage total des vides par le matériau adhésif (carbure de silicium avec ou sans alumine ou magnésie) ne doit pas poser obstacle à ce contact direct entre minéral et fibre, cf.
Le dispositif selon l’invention possède une étanchéité suffisante pour réduire les agressions chimiques ou radiologiques à température ambiante ou à toutes températures, éventuellement sous l’influence de radiations, flux oxydants ou flammes, ce qui permet non seulement la protection à court terme contre l’oxydation par flamme, mais aussi la protection à long terme contre le délaminage et l’altération chimique, puisque sa composition chimique est intermédiaire entre le minéral et le carbone, permettant une évolution vers un équilibre thermochimique réalisant une soudure permanente entre matrice minérale et fibres, par diffusion du carbone et des autres éléments (silicium, magnésium et leurs oxydes) dans la phase minérale majoritaire.The device according to the invention has sufficient sealing to reduce chemical or radiological attacks at room temperature or at all temperatures, possibly under the influence of radiation, oxidizing fluxes or flames, which not only allows short-term protection against oxidation by flame, but also long-term protection against delamination and chemical alteration, since its chemical composition is intermediate between mineral and carbon, allowing an evolution towards a thermochemical balance achieving a permanent weld between mineral matrix and fibers , by diffusion of carbon and other elements (silicon, magnesium and their oxides) in the majority mineral phase.
